About me

I hail from Tamilnadu state in India. I had my education in the city of Chennai (then known as Madras) in Tamilnadu. My school education was at Sir M.Ct. M. High School at Purasawalkam. I did my graduation from the Presidency College with Chemistry as the main subject. After a brief stint in Minerva Tutorial college, Egmore and the Secretariat of the then Madras State, I moved to New Delhi for a regular job in the Central Secretariat after passing the UPSC Examination. I worked in various Ministries and Departments of the Central Secretariat, New Delhi on a wide range of subjects, which include matters relating to Public Administration, Recruitment procedures, Preparation of reports and Personnel management. I had had challenging assignments and I enjoyed them. I retired as Deputy Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi in 2004 after putting in more than 35 years of service in the Government of India.

During my service I passed through private study the Masters’ Degree in English Language and a Post-graduate Diploma in Public administration from the Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi. I now reside in Bangalore city of Karnataka State.

Writing is my post-retirement pastime. I have written and published a few books.

'Service matters in Central Government jobs' and 'The Employment opportunities in Central Government' are my first two books. Printed copies of the books are available with me. They are also available with Amazon.in.
